Options


These are the principal engine options.

Sound

These options allows you to separate the volume between Mechanical and ROM sounds.

Mechanics Main Volume

This slider sets the mechanical sounds volume.

Engine Main Volume

This slider sets the ROM sounds volume.

Engine Audio Device

There you can select a secondary Sound Card so the ROM sounds will come out from this specified Output.
(Need to save and restart Unit3D Pinball to apply changes)

 

Camera

These options allow you to select the desired Camera.

Standard

The standard camera, ideal for desktop players.

Occulus Rift

If you own an Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset, this camera is for you, bringing Unit3D Pinball to Virtual reality. (This feature is currently under development and is not totally finished ).

Cabinet

The Cabinet Camera dedicated to Cab Users (Single or Dual monitor Setup)

Cabinet

When you select Cabinet in the Camera options, this panel appears.

Calibrate Cab

Clicking on this button enables the Cabinet Calibration Mode. There you can place the Translite and Playfield Virtual screens to suit to your cabinet configuration. Once your configuration is correct, click again on this button to save your Cabinet Configuration(settings are written to CabCalibration.xml file)

 

More Cab options are available, but they have been transfered to the Table Options , so they can be adjusted table by table.

Cabinet Calibration Mode

Once you have entered the Cabinet Calibration Mode, you can see the two Virtual Screens (one for the Translite and one for the Playfield). The red targets on the corners allow you to place the virtual screens as you want, depending on your monitors configuration. Click on any of these targets and drag it to the desired position. Each virtual screen has two edit box on the top and left of them, you must enter manually the real size (in millimeters) of your physical monitor to get the best possible results. Once your configuration is correct, click again on the Calibrate Cab button to save your Cabinet Configuration.

 

If you use a rotated screen, you can change the virtual screen orientation by moving these targets.

 For example, for a 90° rotation to the left,
move the TopLeft target to the bottom left of the desired screen, and the BottomRight target to the top right position of the desired screen.

 

 

For example, for a 90° rotation to the right,
move the TopLeft target to the top right of the desired screen, and the BottomRight target to the bottom left position of the desired screen.

 

All combinations can be done separately for Playfield and Translite Virtual Screen.

Rendering

Display Mode

You can select how Unit3D Pinball will be displayed on your monitor(s).

Window

Unit3D Pinball is displayed as a classic window.

Real FullScreen

Unit3D Pinball is displayed in FullScreen ( if you use two monitors, this setting only works well if your Graphics Card supports The Eyfinity(ATI) or Surround(Nvidia) features.

Fake FS All

If you have two monitors and don't want to use Eyfinity or Surround features, select this mode to display Unit3D Pinball on your two monitors. It uses a maximized window on which we remove its borders and title bar to fit your two monitors (This is great for playing on Cabinets).

Fake FS mono

The same mode as Fake FS All, but the window fits only one monitor. 

Pixel Lights Count

Move this slider to set the number of Real lights used in the simulation.The range is from 0 to 200.
Be careful with this setting, it can really impact the performances.

ANTI ALIASING

This option allows you to set the AntiAliasing Level.

V-Sync

This checkbox allows you to set your monitor(s) Vertical Sync ON or OFF.

 

FX

Reflection

Playfield

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling the Environment Reflection on the Main Playfield.
The associated slider allows you to set its Reflection level.
The associated dropdown menu allows you to set the quality of its Reflection texture.

Front Glass

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling the Environment Reflection on the Front Glass.
The associated slider allows you to set its Reflection level.
The associated dropdown menu allows you to set the quality of its Reflection texture.
 

High Quality Lighting

Enable/Disable High Quality Lighting inside of the reflections textures.

Balls

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling the Environment Reflection on the Balls.
The associated slider allows you to set their Reflection level.
The associated dropdown menu allows you to set the quality of their Reflection texture.

High refresh rate

If checked, reflection on balls is calculated in realtime (can hit performances).
If unchecked, each face of the reflection cubemap is calculated one frame after the other (faster rendering)
.

 

Bloom effect

ON/OFF

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling the Bloom Post Processing Effect.

Intensity

This slider allows you to set the Bloom Effect intensity. 

Threshold

This slider allows you to set the Bloom Effect Threshold.

 

 BALL TRAIL EFFECT

On/Off

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling the trail effect.

Intensity

This slider allows you to set the trail intensity.

Length

 This slider allows you to set the length of the trail.

 

Physics

Continuous Collision

Check this box to get more accurate collisions when a ball collides a Flipper.(Higher impact on performances)

Complex Flippers

Check this box to Enable the Flippers Curves in Curves Editor. ( refer to The Editor Documentation)
Uncheck this box to get a more basic Flippers behaviour.( Not Recommended )

NUDGE - RECENTER

Click this button to reset Nudging initial position.

SHOW NUDGE DEBUG

This checkbox allows you to Enable/Disable the Nudge Debug Component for a visual appreciation of the nudging Behaviour.
If checked, the Nudge Debug will appear on the bottom left part of the screen. The center cross follows your nudging. 

 

 

DIRECT OUTPUT

activate/deactivate

Click on this button to Activate/deactivate the Direct output Framework interaction.

  

DEBUG

Show Subway System

Click on this button to Show/Hide the Subway System (links between kickers and ball traveling under the table).

Show FPS

This checkbox is used for Showing/Hiding the FPS Count Window.

Lamps

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling Lamps interaction with the ROM.

Solenoids

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling Solenoids interaction with the ROM.

GIs

This checkbox is used for Enabling/Disabling Global Illuminations interaction with the ROM.

SAVING OPTIONS

When your settings are correct, click on this button to save them.
